Why can't I make changes to an account profile?

There are several reasons why changes may not be able to be made to the profile of an account.


  • The account is in a stage of preparation, review or approval.  
    • The change can be made in a period in which the account reconciliation is not yet started
    • A system admin could change the 'reset' the account in the current period to bring it back to a status of 'Not Started'
  • The period being worked in is already closed.
    • A system admin could reopen the closed period and then 'reset' the account to bring it back to a status of 'Not Started'
  • The account is part of a Net Account. 
    • Changes for constituent accounts of a net account need to be made together.  
      • If changing ownership/frequency/rec forms, try going to Account Mass/Bulk Update and inputting the full net account name into the Acct Name field
      • If updating account description or policy, go to Accounts > Create/Update Net Accounts and update them there.
