When you have an account that reconciles to a subledger, you are able to import the transactional information from the subledger into the account reconciliation and if the total of that information ties to the adjusted GL balance of the account, ART can system reconcile that account.
Here's what you'll need to do:
Import a Subledger Source file. You can find this template in Data > Data Import by using the dropdown and selecting 'Subledger Source'. All that is needed is the name(s) of the system from where the transactional information for the account will be coming from (i.e. FAS, AP Ledger, etc.) See screenshot for example.
Once the subledger source is named, you will need to update the Attributes for the account for it. Search for the account that you'd like to update and make sure to check the checkbox to the left of the account to be able to edit it. Then use the dropdown under 'Subledger Source' to make the selection. Remember to click 'Save'.
You also want to make sure that the 'Subledger' form is the Reconciliation Form selection for this account too.
See screenshot for example.
Now that the account is primed for subledger information, just use the Subledger Load to import the transactional information. You can find this template in Data > Data Import by using the dropdown and selecting 'Subledger Load'. This file will need to have the same 'key' information as that is used in your GL data imports.
Once the file is set up, copy and paste the transactional detail into the template and import.
This is what the account reconciliation will look like once subledger information is imported.
