I am unable to delete attached documents in my reconciliation form.

As part of maintaining proper segregation of duties, only the Preparer is able to modify the reconciliation (with exception of review notes and the Reconciliation Control Checklist), and that includes adding and removing supporting documents attached to the reconciliation.

This means that if you are not the Preparer of the reconciliation, you will not be able to delete any document attachments and will need to request that the Preparer perform the action.

If you are the Preparer and find yourself unable to delete attached documents, it can be due to the following reasons:

#1: Document is part of an item that is being carried forward from prior period.

If there is a supporting detail, timing difference or adjustment being carried over from a prior period, you will not be able to modify the item.  That includes deleting the attached document(s).  The only option for this type of items is to either leave it open, or close out the item and create a new item with new document attachment(s).

Refer to User Job Aid for instructions on how to close out prior period items that are carrying forward.

#1: Account status is not eligible for Preparer modification.

In order for the Preparer to modify accounts, including deleting document attachments, the account status needs to be Not Started, In Progress, Prepared or Pending Mod by Preparer
