To set up a new year and the related periods, you will have to import your period end dates.

Go to Data > Data Import.

From the Data Import Type dropdown, select "Period End Dates".  Download the template for this import using the link to the right hand side of the screen.

Open the Excel template and set up your Organizations period ends.  These may be calendar month ends, they may be based on a 4/4/5 calendar, so make sure that the periods are correct for your Organization.  The QuarterEnd Column should have the Quarternumber next to each quarter end date and the YearEnd column should have the Year next to the year end date. An example is shown below:

Once this template is saved.  Go to Data > Data Import > Data Import Type of Period End Dates should be chosen.  Enter a name for your import and browse for the saved file using the 'select' button. Then click 'upload'.

The periods and dates will be displayed at the bottom of the screen for confirmation.  Once confirmed as correct, click on the checkboxes to the left of them and click "Import".

Now, go to System Control > Create / Update Financial Year.  Enter the name of the Financial Year as well as the start and end dates.  An example is shown below:

Rec Groups are only applicable to those organizations utilizing them.  They are an upgraded feature only available in the Enterprise Plus package of ART.

All other Organizations can skip those fields and just create the new Fiscal Year Name by typing it in.  Then enter the beginning and ending dates for that year and click search.

Then select all of the appropriate fiscal month ends belonging to that fiscal year and click 'Save'.
