I cannot find a specific account in Account Viewer

Modified on Wed, Dec 21, 2016 at 5:50 PM

Upon logging into ART, you may find that a specific account you expect to see is not presented in the Account Viewer.  This could be due to one of several reasons:

#1: You role
If you have multiple roles assigned to you, it's possible that you are not in the role that allows you access to that account.  Refer to the top section of ART to check your current role, and if appropriate, switch to
the appropriate role.

#2: The reconciliation period

Check the reconciliation period in ART to make sure you're in the intended period.

#3: The account is captured for system reconciled

The account may have been captured for system reconciliation and you have not selected to see SRA accounts in the Account Viewer.  To view your SRAs, either:

1. Click on Show SRA As Well check box at the top of the Account Viewer

2. Go to Accounts > System Reconciled Accounts menu

#4: There is an active filter on the Account Viewer

If you got to the Account Viewer through the completion status dashboard "pie slice," then the Account Viewer will have an active filter which prevents you from seeing all accounts.  To clear the filter, click on   to see all accounts.

#3: The account may not be up for reconciliation

Depending on the account's risk rating, it may not be up for reconciliation in the current period.  For example, some accounts may be scheduled for quarterly reconciliation, which means that the account will only be presented in the Account Viewer for reconciliation once every three month.

If you are unsure of the risk rating and reconciliation frequency settings of the account, go to Accounts > All Accounts to check the risk rating.  Or, contact your ART system administrator.

#4: The account is not (or no longer) assigned to you

The account may not be assigned to you at this time.  To verify account ownership, go to Accounts > All Accounts to check ownership information.  If changes need to be made, contact your ART system administrator.

#5: No GL balance is available for the account in the period
It is possible that the account should have been presented for reconciliation for the period, but there was no GL balance available for the account (Caution: No balance means that a balance is not available.  A GL balance of $0 constitutes an available balance.).  This may be the case in the example of an account that gets closed out/retired in the GL system.

Verify with your ART system administrator if you believe this is the case.
