Each reconciling item begins to be aged when the transaction date is entered on the reconciliation. That aging will be displayed on the reconciliation cover sheet.
A great way to manage and track all outstanding items each period is to run the Open Items Report. Go to Reports > Standard Reports > Open Items Report.
Open Items can be managed and tracked by risk rating, type of exception (adjustments, timing differences, write-offs, etc.), by role/user, by aging timeline and by status of the reconciliation. See the parameters and example of report below:
